Dr. Niloufar Salehi obtained her MD from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, in 2021. She is an aspiring surgeon-scientist and currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Weill Cornell Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where her work centers on clinical, translational, and basic science research projects focusing on gastrointestinal cancers, minimally invasive surgical procedures, and molecularly targeted radiopharmaceuticals.

As Chair of the IAMA JAVAAN section, Dr. Salehi is dedicated to fostering a connected, supportive community among IAMA members, with a particular focus on future and current medical trainees.
